Mapping table
Each Latin sequence produces its Bengali character. Aspirated sounds are written with two or three letters (kh → খ, chh → ছ) and capital letters give the retroflex or emphatic consonants: T → ট, D → ড, N → ণ, S → ষ. After a consonant, "a" stands for the inherent vowel and the other vowels appear as matras (◌া, ◌ি, ◌ে).
Write in Bengali from any computer
No need to install a keyboard layout or memorize the Bengali arrangement: everything happens in your browser. The Bengali script is an alphasyllabary: each consonant carries an inherent vowel, the other vowels attach to it as matras, and two consonants typed in a row are joined by the halant (্) to form a conjunct. The phonetic transliteration applies these rules for you: "tumi" becomes "তুমি", "bhaalo" becomes "ভালো", "dhanYabaad" is written "ধন্যবাদ" and "baaMlaa" gives "বাংলা". And for the less common characters, the clickable keyboard is right there.

How do I type in Bengali without a Bengali keyboard?

Can I click the Bengali letters directly?
